ARGAS - Automatic Remote Gap Adjustment System for pellet mills

ARGAS is characterized by the following features:

• automatic correction of the gap during the process of grinding the roller and matrix surfaces without the need to stop the granulator

• optimal performance controlled automatically by computer,

• Increased production and reduced set-up time compared to manual control systems that require shutting down the granulator and restarting it

• maintenance-free system integrated with the standing shaft provides full protection when changing the gap size,

• controlled roller pressure force controlled by computer,

• the pressure force measurement system protects the rollers from excessive pressure on the die and damage to the inlet cones,

• very simple and quick method of zeroing the rollers,

• more efficient use of oversize rollers thanks to a wide adjustment range,

• the innovative solution in the form of a closed chamber of the ARGAS drive system reduces any possible leakage of grease into the feed to a minimum,

• full resistance to damage and mechanical failures thanks to the strong construction of the entire unit, integrated in the standing shaft of the granulator,

• lubrication only every 5 - 7 months,

• after reaching the limit value of the gap size, operators can safely select feed mixtures for which the ARGAS system parameters have been saved in the recipe database or automatically maintain a specified distance of the roller from the matrix,

• database of recipes with programmed slot settings.
