Waste granulation lines from
car recycling - ASR
Car recycling: 95% of cars are recycled
The EU Directive 2000/53/EC (The ELV Directive) sets out the rules for recycling cars that are environmentally friendly. The problem of ELV cars (End o-Life Vehicles - used cars) concerns 7-8 million tons in the European Union. Since 2015, 95% of the vehicle mass must be recycled and sent for reprocessing. Waste that cannot be reused in the production process of new cars must be safely processed into fuel, e.g. pellets. Pellets can be burned in waste incinerators.

ASR is 25% post-recycling waste consisting of the following components: plastics (PE, PVC, PP), elastomers (rubber, chloroprene, ABS), resin derivatives (PU, PA, epoxy, styrene), cellulose derivatives (paper, textiles, wood), natural (leather).
Nawrocki TG designs and implements industrial technology for granulating mixed and ground car waste: from receiving raw material, through dosing, granulating, cooling and cleaning of granulate.

ASR (Automotive Shredder Residue, car fluff)
NPT has developed an innovative production line for ASR - plastic granulate from car recycling - for Stena Recycling AB, Sweden. The granulate is safely burned in a waste incinerator.
How to use ASR pellets:
- waste incineration plants,
- fuel for cement plant furnaces,
- feed for pyrolysis systems,
- plasma gasifiers.
